Siblyback Lake
Siblyback Lake is a reservoir situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. It has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there is a dam that blocks a small tributary of the River Fowey. It is the perfect spot for a family day out.
There is a wide range of activities for all ages at the lake. These include kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding hire. Plus you can fish and self-launch your own equipment. Around the lake, there is a 3-mile circular path which is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists. The path is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Make sure you visit the bird-hide and see what wildlife you can spot. The lake is also home to a family-friendly campsite. There is a new children’s play area overlooking the lake and there is plenty of open space for picnics and fun and games with the kids.
