Museum Overview
The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum is located in the Historic Docks of Gloucester. It is a museum dedicated to the memory of all those who have served their country as soldiers of Gloucestershire.
The museum reopened in 2014 after a significant Heritage Lottery-funded refurbishment. Inside you can try on Army uniforms, take a closer look at a WWI trench and learn more about medals through an interactive display.
There are changing exhibitions and interactive things to do. There are also children’s games and a free, quiz. The museum starts in 1964 and travels through the Napoleonic Wars, the Age of Empire, World Wars, Korea and modern-day conflicts.
