Things to do at Sportsman Inn and Leisure
Indoors there is Charlie Fastrax soft play adventure gym. It is a multi-storey adventure soft play for children aged 3-12 years. There are two large ball pools and 3 slides including their famous black slide. Plus there are several mazes and a spooky area. The play gym is open every day except Mondays. They can also host your child’s birthday party.
The Sportsman Inn is a family-friendly pub. They have extensive gardens as well as a beer garden with an outdoor play area. There is a scenic patio with views over the Shibden Valley.
Also on-site is the Halifax Ski and Snow Board Centre. This saw improvements in 2000 including a new revolutionary ski surface called ‘Snowflex’ which can be used with or without snow. It is also safer with an impact foam layer beneath the surface. They run a variety of skiing and snowboarding lessons.
You can also have a go at snow tubing. It is the latest snow sports craze and involves flying down their slope in a large inflatable ring with a hard bottom base. The minimum age is 5.
