What is there to do at St Ives Estate Country Park?
The large pond has a bird hide and a duck feeding pier so make sure you take some duck food with you. The oldest building in the park is a 14th-century mill and there are many features such as a granite obelisk, another pond, an ice house and more.
There are many paths crisscrossing the estate making it popular with dog walkers. There is a massive adventure play area plus archery, an 18-hole golf course and an equestrian centre. The park has a cafe and numerous picnic areas. The play area is one of the biggest in the district and it has equipment for all ages.
Look out for Lady Blantyre’s rock. She once lived on the estate and the rock was her favourite spot. A memorial stone has since been erected beneath it. There is also a sculpture trail of chainsaw carvings that was created in 2005. Not all remain but there is still a good number to find across the estate.
