St Ives Harbour Beach

Harbour Beach at St Ives is the main beach in the town. It is both a beach and a working harbour too. Although if you’re imagining muddy sand you couldn’t be more wrong! Harbour Beach has beautiful golden sands and clear blue waters.
The beach is a little suntrap, sheltered on all sides by the town and pier. Fishing boats still operate from the harbour here and you can also take a boat trip to Seal Island, just a couple of miles down the coast. Take a walk from the Harbour and there are lots of other little coves and beaches to explore.
Located in the town of St Ives, there are plenty of facilities in the town itself, including shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Grab a crab sandwich to take away from one of these and enjoy it down on the beach. There are several car parks in the town, or if you don’t fancy braving the traffic you can park at St Erth or Lelant stations and jump on the train into St Ives.
