St Johns Beacon Viewing Gallery

St Johns Beacon Viewing Gallery

St Johns Beacon Viewing Gallery otherwise known as Radio City Tower is located in Liverpool, Merseyside, It was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1969 and it is an iconic radio and observation tower.

The tower is 138 metres tall and it is the second tallest free-standing building in Liverpool. The 360o Viewing Gallery is a unique way to see the ever-changing landscape of the city and beyond. You can’t visit the radio station but you can certainly view them at work as the radio station is on the same floor as the viewing gallery.

On clearer days you can see as far as Blackpool, the Lake District and Snowdonia. Don’t be put off by bad weather as these are sometimes the best days to visit. Just because it’s sunny it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be clear.
