Summerhill Country Park
Park Overview
The Summerhill Country Park and Nature Reserve is located near the centre of Hartlepool, County Durham. It is a large green space with ponds, sculptures, playgrounds, a BMX track and climbing boulders. The park is 100 acres in size making it a great place to enjoy a walk.
The paths are signposted for those looking to walk around the park. There are two children’s play areas and picnic benches next to one of them. The park has a large free-to-use BMX track and there are eight large climbing boulders located close to the play areas.
Around the park, there are viewing stations to help you spot some of the local wildlife. They are great for families and the centre itself contains information about wildlife. The visitor centre runs additional activities including archery, orienteering, crafts, nature studies and more.
