Sundown Adventureland Theme Park
This is a theme park, especially for children under 10 years old. It is a great first introduction to rides for young children and adults can join them on the rides as well. Located near Retford in Nottinghamshire and not too far from Lincoln. There are no height or age restrictions and a great variety of things to do.
Things to do at Sundown Adventureland review
There are plenty of family-friendly rides, but most are based on a theme and aren’t especially fast. They have lots of huge outdoor playgrounds such as Angry Birds and others themed on forts, towns, pirates and more. There is also a huge indoor soft play area, plus many themed houses, rooms, castles etc. to explore around the park. Most are interactive with buttons to press and sometimes you’re met with realistic smells as well!
Sundown Adventureland is a great place to visit at Christmas with an extra ride that opens which takes you to Santa. Why wait until Christmas though as they even have an indoor Santa’s sleigh ride open all year round? Other rides include a river barrel ride, rocky mountain train, tractor ride, spinning rides, Robin Hood, safari ride and more.
If your kids love sand there is a huge Captain Sandy’s Cove-themed sandpit which even has slides. There are so many places to stop around the park for photos and to press buttons. Kids will have such a fun day out and I’m sure you will as well.
