Swinley Forest
Swinley Forest is located near Bracknell in Berkshire. It is owned and managed by the Crown Estate and is around 2,600 acres in size. The forest stretches over hills between Bracknell and Crowthorne.
What is there to do at Swinley Forest?
The forest is suitable for a range of activities. There is a bike hire centre and you can try some off-road cycling. There are trails for all abilities including some family-friendly cycle trails. They even hire out e-bikes so you can effortlessly take on the hills of Swinley.
Also on-site is the Bracknell, Swinley Forest Go Ape. Plus there is a fantastic play area which is split into three parts. There is an inclusive play area which includes a wheelchair-accessible roundabout, a slide and a cradle swing. There is an infant play area for children aged 3-6 years with a play ship and a junior play area for ages 7-11 years with a magnificent play fort.
The Lookout is their Discovery Centre with over 90 activities which children of all ages can enjoy and learn from. These include an oversized floor piano, interactive sandboxes and a body mirror. Plus a DCT lab with a magnetic wall, a wind table and more. They have a variety of insects, amphibians and reptiles and outside there is also a fun water play area plus a building zone,

The forest is free to visit. There is a charge to visit the Discovery Centre of £8.40 for an adult, £6.15 for a child aged 4-16 and under 4s are free. Other pricing options are available. There is also a charge for bike hire.
