Talkin Tarn Country Park

Talkin Tarn Country Park

The Talkin Tarn Country Park is located near Brampton in Cumbria. There is a 65-acre glacial lake which was formed 10,00 years ago by mass glacial action. Located on the waterfront there is a play area that was first opened in 2017. This has some swings and a play structure with sand below. There are also 120 acres of woodlands, forest trails and varied habitats to explore.

Around the Tarn, there is a fully accessible 1.3-mile walking route. There are various colour-coded walking routes which you can find out more about by picking up a leaflet from the notice board at the main entrance to the park. You can even hire a boat to take out on the lake. From Easter to October there are rowing boats, canoes and kayaks available to hire over weekends and school holidays. There is also a mini-golf located in the woods.
