Tamar Trails Centre
The Tamar Trails Centre is located near Tavistock in Devon. It offers adventure activities including hiking, biking, canoeing and zip wires.
What can you do at Tamar Trails Centre?
Tree Surfers is a tree-based high ropes course. Children can take part from the age of 4. There are a number of obstacles including rope bridges, zip lines, walkways and Tarzan swings. There are four specially designed high ropes courses from ‘junior’ to the ‘black run’.
Canoeing takes place on the River Tamar which divides Cornwall and Devon. You can take a scenic paddle from the historic Quay at Cotehele upriver, past the village of Calstock and into the wilds of the upper tidal limits.
There are archery sessions for those aged 6 and over. Sessions are available in hourly slots. You can also hire bikes with a number of trails to explore. There are also over 25km of walking trails for you to explore from the centre. These will lead you through woods where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Tamar Valley.
