Tannaghmore Gardens and Animal Farm

Tannaghmore Gardens and Animal Farm

Tannaghmore Gardens and Animal Farm are located near Craigavon, County Armagh. The farm is owned and run by the local council and they offer close encounters with many breeds of farm animals that are traditionally found on farms in Ulster.

They are situated within the Craigavon City Park and on-site there is a listed Georgian farmhouse which dates from the late 18th century. Many of the breeds you can see are now rare and close to extinction. Animals include Irish moiled cattle, Dexter cattle, Galway sheep, Saddleback pigs and a wide range of poultry.

Their speciality is their guided farm tours and around the gardens, there are 17 different styles of traditional gates. You will be able to spot some interesting tree sculptures and you will follow a tree trail of native and exotic trees. There is a children’s play area with slides, a zip line, swings and more. In the park, there are picnic areas, two football pitches and a cricket square. There is also a large maze and best of all entrance to the park and the farm is free.
