Thames Valley Adventure Playground

The Thames Valley Adventure Playground is located in Taplow near Maidenhead in Berkshire. It is run as a charity and it offers a unique range of adventurous, therapeutic and educational play activities in a safe environment.

Things to do at Thames Valley Adventure Playground

They cater for both children and adults with all types of disabilities, however mild or profound. They also offer opportunities for vital Respite breaks that support the families and carers as well as the person they care for.

The playground first opened its doors in 1982 and it has since grown from strength to strength. Indoors there is a sensory room that can be booked in advance at £10 per 30-minute session. Outdoors they have accessible play equipment including an aerial runway with an adapted seat, swings, see-saw, round-a-bout and other equipment.

Indoors there is a safe soft play room with toys, games and sensory toys. There is also a creative room with arts and crafts, dressing up and a calm zone. They also often run workshops and special events.

What are the ticket prices?

For all bookings, they suggest a contribution towards the cost of your visit, per child or adult of £10 for a single session and £15 for a double session. (Siblings under 2 admitted free). This must be pre-booked and the sensory room is an additional cost.

Is there parking?

There is parking outside the Playground which is very close to the entry gate and suitable for those with mobility issues and in wheelchairs. There is always space outside for dropping off and picking up also.
