The Argory National Trust
The Argory is a National Trust property located near Dungannon in County Tyronne. It is a Neoclassical mansion house located on a wooded riverside estate where you can enjoy some scenic walks.
Things to do at The Argory National Trust
The house was built in the 1820s and it overlooks the River Blackwater. You can explore the house at your own pace with the Argory self-guided experience. Make sure you book your self-guided tour ticket at the visitor reception when you arrive.
Around the 315 estate, there is a great range of traditional trees including oaks, chestnut, beach and pollard lime trees. There is also a small but impressive rose garden and pleasure grounds which are flanked by two pavilions. There are a number of trails around the estate which include a 2-mile river walk and a 2-mile Argory lime tree walk which are great for families.
In the grounds, there is a natural wooden play area for children of all ages. Did you know that The Argory is one of the best places to do some kingfisher spotting? They can often be seen at the edge of the river bank, so make sure you take some binoculars with you.
