The Climbing Academy The Newsroom
The Climbing Academy – The Newsroom, is located in Kinning Park, Glasgow. It has dedicated bouldering surfaces for climbers of all skill levels located in an old printwork.
Bouldering is low-level climbing over mats. No ropes or harnesses are required and you don’t need a course to get started. They welcome newcomers and there is a child-specific climbing area plus training walls, gym equipment and a stretching area. They also offer courses and personal coaching.
At the centre, they run sessions for 0-5-year-olds, 5-8 years and 8-16 years. Bouldering is an excellent sport for getting young ones active and developing coordination and focus. Each problem climbing offers a fun puzzle to be solved. The children’s area has much shorter reaches and lots of easy options for tiny hands.
