The Edinburgh Dungeon is a tourist attraction in the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the ultimate underground journey through Edinburgh’s darkest history, using live actors, theatrical sets and thrilling rides.

Inside there are a number of themed areas that you will walk around during your visit. It is a 70-minute interactive walk-through experience that brings 1000 years of history to life. There is a courtroom, a witches’ judgement room and a torture chamber. Plus a cannibal’s cave, anatomy theatre, Mary King’s close, castle ghosts and more.

Drop Dead, the Grassmarket Gallows is a ride with a minimum height of 140cm. It is a thrilling gravity-defying drop that marks the scary fun end to your Dungeon journey. You will learn what it feels like to free, fall drop at the gallows and just how loudly fellow family members can scream. There is also a mirror maze which makes you feel like you are going around in circles.
