The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary

The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary

The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary is located in Mabe Burnthouse near Penryn, Cornwall. It is a registered charity and was founded by Mary Berryman in 1995. Today the sanctuary provides a safe home for over 100 donkeys and horses, all of whom have been rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment.

During the summer months, nearly all their donkeys are out in the paddocks. You can take a stroll down their visitor walkways and watch them enjoying their lives in peace after all the trauma that they have endured. They return to their barns around November time but still have outdoor access in case they fancy wandering outside for some fresh air.
