The Horse Trust

Attraction Overview
The Horse Trust provide a home of rest for horses and they are located near Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. They are open to the public and they specialise in providing retirement and respite for working horses and ponies. They also provide sanctuary to horses, ponies and donkeys who have suffered from cruelty or neglect.
They are the world’s oldest equine charity and you can book tickets to visit them. On-site you will find rescue horses, police horses, military horses, working horses and Royal Mews horses plus ponies and donkeys. There are around 1030 animals, that live within 200 acres of land and you can see around 20-30 of them in the visitor area.
For a small additional charge, they often allow you to help groom the horses. You can walk around the wider estate to extend your visit. There is a woodland walk that isn’t accessible for wheelchairs or pushchairs. It is quite a steep walk and can get muddy at times.
