The Pods

The Pods are situated next to the popular Central Park in Scunthorpe. They are the largest sports and fitness facility in North Lincolnshire. There is a wide range of family-friendly activities on offer at the centre. There is a 25-metre swimming pool plus a teaching pool from which they run swimming lessons. Families will love the Funsplash sessions with a giant inflatable and other floating fun. Plus a sauna, steam room and a spa.

There is a range of activities in their six-court sports halls. These include 5-a-side football, badminton, basketball, netball, short tennis and table tennis. Plus trampolines, volleyball, karate and soft play sessions for toddlers, and younger.

They have an indoor climbing wall which is suitable for children from 6 years plus and 1.1 metres tall, no experience is necessary. The wall consists of multifaceted traverses for a different range of challenges. They also offer climbing courses at certain times of the year. All activities have a small charge. They also host pool parties.

Is there food and drink available?

There is a cafe on-site which sells a choice of hot and cold food and drinks.

What are the main things to do?

Large swimming pool with family splash sessions, climbing wall, sports hall and more. There are toilets, changing cubicles and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

All activities are charged with a wide variety of prices. The cost of a casual swim for an adult is £4.20, for children £2.80 and under 3 are free. FunSplash sessions cost slightly more.
