The Scottish Deer Centre
The Scottish Deer Centre is located near Cupar in Fife. Their collection includes 12 species of deer and animals which are long lost from the Scottish countryside. This includes wolves, lynx, Scottish Wildcat and European Brown Bear.
Other animals include red fox, European elk and wild haggis (I didn’t even know that was an animal!). Their deer include red deer, reindeer, white-lipped deer and Sika deer. Plus Wapiti deer, Reeves’ Muntjac deer, Pere David Deer and more. There are lots of activities to get involved with including meeting some of their tame deer.
They have an indoor play area with playframes and a zipline. Outdoors there is an adventure playground which is a vast area with a climbing frame. They also have a go-kart track with pedal karts. You can also go for a walk in their woodland. For a small additional fee, you can take trailer rides around the paddocks where their rarest deer species live. This is available in July and August, weather permitting.
