Museum Overview

Thorney Heritage museum is located in Thorney, close to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The museum is committed to preservingHistorical, items linked to local heritage including architecture, archaeology, culture, natural history and the arts.

Inside you can view displays that depict the development of the village from its early monastic history through to the present day. There are displays that demonstrate how the village developed as an agricultural estate and the Dukes of Bedford building of the ‘Model Village’.

There is a section covering the effect of the various wars and they can also organise guided tours of the Abbey and Thorney village.
