Treasures of the Earth

Museum Overview

Treasures of the Earth is a family-run museum located in Corpach near Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. The museum is home to a private collection of gemstones, crystals and fossils. Founded over 20 years ago by a father and son team whose interests lie in all things Geology. The museum is housed in what was once a Catholic Church. Today it is home to one of Europe’s largest collections of its kind.

Now passed down to the next generation the museum is run with as much enthusiasm and passion as the previous. They are committed to providing an educational and entertaining visit for all. The collections are housed in an atmosphere simulation of caves, caverns and mining scenes.

You can learn about the largest Gold Nugget ever discovered and the history of the Scottish gold rush. Their stunning collection of fossils even includes some dinosaur poo. The cave is beautiful with crystals that magically change colour and that glow ultra-violet.
