Windermere is home to the Treetop Lake District with a Treetop trek and Treetop nets. It is a family activity centre with rope obstacles for all ages high in the treetops.

Things to do at Treetop Lake District

Activities include a full treetop trek that takes around 2 to 3 hours. This is a high ropes experience for the fearless adventurer. 15 metres above the ground and in the trees there are around 32 obstacles including balance bars, swinging logs, Indiana bridges and a 250-metre triple zip line descent to the shore of Windermere. This is from 7 years and over.

The mini treetop trek lasts for one hour and is at a lower level than the full treetop trek. There are 16 obstacles ending with a 250-metre triple zip line. Children 5 and over can take part. Climb and Zip is a vertical 10-metre climbing challenge with a 250-metre triple zip (only during school holidays).

Treetop Nets is a 2-hour adventure on giant bouncy nets with slides, tunnels and ball zones. There are massive balls to play amongst, aerial walkways and more. There is no minimum height and walking children can take part. There may be a height limit on other activities.

There is no mention of a cafe but there are many places to purchase food and drinks around Lake Windermere.

The full treetop trek costs £33 for an adult and £25 for 7+. Mini treetop trek adults £22, children 5 and over £18. Treetop nets adult or child ticket costs £20, children and supervisors under 5 are £13. Climb and zip adults £18, children 5+ £15.00
