Uist Community Riding School

The Uist Community Riding School is located at East Camp near Bailvanich in the Scottish Hebrides. You can enjoy riding on a remote, empty and sandy beach with only the sound of the sea and its wildlife about you.

Locals and visitors alike have come to the community-run riding school for years to enjoy the opportunity to ride their friendly horses and participate in the running of their stables. The venue is supported by their highly trained and enthusiastic staff plus their voluntary committee to provide you with long-lasting family memories.

They have around 20 horses and ponies of all sizes and they welcome all riding abilities from beginners through to more experienced riders. They can help you build confidence with their horses and they offer pony handling sessions where you can help feed, groom and clean out their horses.

As well as riding lessons, pony and handling sessions and a junior club they also offer fabulous walks on the nearby beach. Benbecula is famous for its turquoise seas and white sands. All their beach rides are staffed and they are a great experience for everyone.
