Museum Overview

The Warrington Museum and Art Gallery is located in the centre of Warrington, Cheshire. It is a Grade II listed building located in the Cultural Quarter and it first opened its doors at this site in 1858.

You can travel through time and around the world at one of the country’s oldest museums. Inside there are many different treasures to be seen. There are some beautiful works of art, an Ancient Egyptian mummy and even their very own dinosaur.

As well as the permanent displays they also host events and temporary exhibitions plus family-friendly craft activities. Permanent galleries include fish and reptiles, botany, geology, time tunnel and more.
