Watergate Bay Beach

Watergate Bay Beach

Known for its great surf, golden sand and amazing coastal views, Watergate Bay is a fabulous beach for the whole family, no matter what age!

There are two car parks which are a short walk from the beach. Be sure to arrive before 11 am during the summer to bag yourself a good parking spot or you might struggle.  There is a third car park located in a field in the summer months on top of the cliffs (towards Newquay) but they only accept cash and this can also get busy in the summer.

You’ll find a host of cafés, bars, restaurants and beach shops near the beach and within the vicinity that cater to most dietary requirements.  In the summer the local coffee hut sells ice creams and iced coffees on the beach.  Surf lessons as well as wetsuit and equipment hire is open at Watergate next to the beach and also from the rear car park and outside WAX bar on the green in the summer months. You can find toilets near the car park but be prepared with 20p coins (rising soon to 50p) as these have paid entrances with barriers.
