Waterworks Museum
Museum Overview
The Waterworks Museum in Hereford has been open since the early 1970s. It is a working museum which brings the story and the history of drinking water to life.
There is a wide range of working pumps and engines which visitors can see. Children will enjoy their hands-on exhibits including the unique Heritage water park. People of all ages are encouraged to have a go playing with the historic water devices in a safe and fun environment. It’s a great way for kids to learn how things work.
The museum also has a permanent exhibition of Hereford in WWII plus many other exhibits. They also host yearly events, which are advertised on their website. If you visit on a steam day there is even more to see and do, the price also increases a little.
