Weald Country Park

Weald Country Park is located in Brentwood, Essex. There are over 520 acres of woodland, lakes, meadows and a deer park to explore. It has become a popular place to visit for families with its Stick Man trail and adventure play areas.
Things to do at Weald Country Park
The park started life as a medieval deer park during the 12th century and you can get up close to their resident herds of deer in the deer enclosure. You can purchase deer and duck food from the visitor centre. There are feeding chutes set up around the enclosure so you can feed the deer.
The Stick Man play trail is 2 kilometres in length. The trail takes you past the deer enclosure, the lake and the grazing area. Along the trail, there are seven play areas with plenty to climb, swing and crawl on. The trail is free, but you can purchase a map, should you need it, for 50p.
There are designated cycling paths which are hard-surfaced and circle the woodlands, meadows and lakes. This path is also shared with horse riders. There is also a variety of walking paths with something to suit everyone. If you have a rod licence you can purchase a permit to fish.
