West Wittering Beach
If you’re looking for a beach with a real holiday feel, then you must visit West Wittering Beach in West Sussex. With its soft white sand, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s abroad. The beach is very safe for children as the sea is calm and shallow for miles. There is also a lifeguard tower and very good patrols throughout the day. There are stands with free, child’s wristbands- simply write your phone number on to keep your child safe.
Top tips for West Wittering- book your car park in advance, get there early and head to East Head which is a bit of a walk around the bay, but quieter than the main beach and the sand dunes are very fun to explore!
I’ve got toddlers, so just unload our stuff where we park and close to the toilets! Plus I paddle board so it’s too far for us to walk to East Head but definitely worth it if you have older ones!
