Willows Animal Sanctuary

Willows Animal Sanctuary

The Willows Animal Sanctuary is located in New Pitsligo near Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire. They are the largest animal sanctuary in Scotland and they provide a lifelong home for horses, cats and other animals. They specialise in helping animals, that aren’t likely to find a good home.

They have been closed to the public for some time but are reopening on Sundays to the public with the aim to open more regularly. They have a cat hotel which is an amazing and unique facility for cats. They make sure they all have constant access to this special facility and are free, to roam the 54-acre sanctuary.

Currently, Willows is home to more than 80 sheep and at least another few hundred other animals. They operate a strict no-kill policy and only euthanise animals, on veterinary advice. They are totally dependent on donations, legacies and grants to keep the sanctuary running.
