Windermere Lake Cruises
Windermere Lake Cruises runs popular leisure boat trips on Lake Windermere in the Lake District, Cumbria. You can enjoy spectacular views on board their regular cruises from Ambleside, Brockhole, Bowness and Lakeside. Cruises on offer can be from 45 minutes long to 3 hours. You can choose to spend all day on and around the lake with their Freedom of the Lake ticket which is great for getting off the boat, exploring and then getting on a later boat.
There are three different coloured cruise routes plus the free, dom of the Lake, 24 hours on all routes, ticket. The Red Cruise is the most scenic and enjoys mountain views. This lasts for 75 minutes from Bowness to Ambleside.
The Yellow Cruise is a scenic trip around the southern tip of Windermere and its attractions which runs from Bowness to Lakeside and a full trip takes 90 minutes. There is also the Islands Blue Cruise which is a great introduction to the lake with islands, mountains and historical sites. There is a full commentary and the full trip takes 45 minutes. The boat runs from Bowness to Windermere Jetty. You can also purchase tickets that combine your boat trip with entrance to a local attraction.
