Winding House

The Winding House is located in New Tredegar, Wales. It is the museum for Caerphilly County Borough and features engaging exhibitions covering local history and heritage with hands-on activities.

The museum is on the site of the former Elliot Colliery with the museum’s centrepiece being the original Victorian winding engine. This is run on special event days and bank holidays by a team of enthusiastic volunteers.
