Museum Overview

Wings Aviation Museum is located in Sussex. It is housed in a 12,000-square-foot hangar-like farm building between Handcross and Balcombe. The museum provides a fascinating insight into life during WWII. Each artefact and item of memorabilia tells its own unique story which is set alongside the sounds and music of the time.

There are items relating to the Bomber Campaign, Fighter Offensive, Ghosts of the Tundra and D-Day and Beyond. Plus the Home Front, the Blitz, the Battle of Britain and WWII radio sets. The museum is run by a team of volunteers.

Items on display include aero engines, airframes and cockpits. Plus aircraft gun turrets, uniforms, medals and more. They also run a range of family-friendly events.
