World of Wedgwood

World of Wedgwood is located in Barlaston near Stoke-on-Trent Staffordshire. It is a heritage showcase for Wedgwood with demonstrations, hands-on fun with clay, factory tours and shopping. On one of their guided tours, you will be able to discover the secrets of the Wedgwood factory. Tours take place from Wednesday to Friday and you can book online. Their walking tour takes approximately 45 minutes and they are recommended for adults and children from the age of 10.

For the budding artists in your family, they run Decorating studios for adults and children which take place at weekends and during school holidays. You can choose from a range of pottery blanks to paint and they can glaze and fire your item for collection 6-8 weeks later.

They also run Play with Clay family sessions. These 1-hour sessions take place in the school holidays and you will be able to get hands-on with clay and learn some simple clay techniques. Down a secret path at the back of the car park, you will find the entrance to the Hem Heath Woods. From here you can explore this beautiful woodland.
