Wotton Under Edge Swimming Pool

Wotton Under Edge Swimming Pool is located in the village with the same name in Gloucestershire. It is an outdoor pool which is open from April until September and has a sliding roof for if the weather is hot or cold.

Construction of the pool began in 1959 by a group of pupils and teachers from the local Secondary school and some local engineers. In 1998 a retractable roof was installed and the pool is heated and has seen a lot of recent improvements.

The pool is 20 yards long by 20 feet wide. There is a 7-foot deep end and a shallow end. The water is heated to 28-30oC and there are separate open-plan changing rooms with two large cubicles, toilets and external hot showers.
