Yorkshire Belle

Yorkshire Belle

No trip to Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast would be complete without a ride on the Yorkshire Belle. She is a pleasure cruiser based in Bridlington Harbour and they have been offering pleasure cruises since 1947. They have run every year apart from 2020. We have been trying a different cruise for most of the past 5 years.

What is the Yorkshire Belle?

The Yorkshire Belle is fully licensed and down below deck, there is a bar serving hot and cold drinks with limited snacks. They even have a toilet so you can cruise in the safe knowledge that your kids can still go to the loo. There is seating indoors and outdoors.

You can now even pre-book online which is great for securing your place during their peak periods. They run a number of cruises. There is the standard 1-hour lighthouse cruise which is the mainstay of the boat’s cruises. There is a 1.5 Breil Newk cruise that comes into its own during nesting season. When the birds have left they replace this with a Silex Bay cruise where you may even spot some seals.

Their longer cruises are a 2.5-hour Bempton Cliffs cruise which again is amazing during nesting season. There is also a 3-hour cruise (or longer) to Filey Bay. They also run cruises via the RSPB website.
