This is a comprehensive list of all of the soft play centres in North Yorkshire. It is not a list of recommendations or endorsements but ideas on where to go. We have not managed to visit all of these indoor play areas ourselves. Unless they are running limited play sessions each centre should be somewhere you can spend two or more hours. Prices and opening times vary. Please check each website before you visit.
Captain Barney’s – Malton
Captain Barney’s is an indoor soft play centre and family-run coffee shop in the centre of Malton. We offer a warm welcome to shipmates of all ages. With fun being the main order of the day, everyone wants to visit Captain Barney’s but no one wants to leave! With levels to explore and slides to dive down, it’s oceans of fun for all our shipmates. Bash past the biff bags, squeeze through the rollers, swing through the hanging snakes before plunging into our ball pool. We also have plenty of toddler toys for our younger visitors, so children of all ages are entertained at Captain Barney’s.
Little Bees – Harrogate
Little Bees – Whatever the weather you can let your children let off steam, whilst you relax for as long as you want. We have good homemade food available at all times and proper coffee to help you unwind. Meeting friends is easy without having to entertain or clean up after them! We have hosted a number of parties so understand exactly what each child wants to make their party truly memorable.
Laughing Giraffe – York
Laughing Giraffe – Here at The Laughing Giraffe you will find a fun and safe play environment where children can develop skills through play. They can interact with other children, become confident in climbing, exploring and developing their independence, but most importantly there is lots of fun to be had!
Mini Monsterz – Whitby
Based in the picturesque town of Whitby, Mini Monsterz is one of the biggest Indoor Play Centres in North Yorkshire, catering for all age groups. We Offer Unlimited Play Time a fantastic party venue – Parties catered for everyone – Toddlers, Juniors & even Adults! Laser Tag – Every evening we host Laser Tag in hourly sessions from 6 pm, ideal for all ages and group bookings! Customer Cafe – A huge range of fresh hot & cold food, hot & cold drinks & snacks are available all day long to complement your time with us!
Play Factory – Thornaby
Thornaby Soft Play has a toddler ball pool, drop slides, Astro slides, rope bridges, tower and pyramid climb, Plus ball cannons, basketball court, laser maze, spinner and baby areas, Spinners, electric go-kart and sports courts.
Secret Realm – Scarborough
Secret Realm – At The Secret Realm, we believe in the importance of imaginative and physical play. Our indoor soft play, aimed at even the most active children gives them the opportunity to burn off that energy, while mums and dads relax with a ‘brew’ from the all-new ‘Snapdragon Café’. The Secret Realm is full of slides and obstacles and is designed for all ages. Both venues are an ideal attraction to entertain the family, in a fun and stimulating environment.
Temple Fun – Bedale
Temple Fun – A soft play with an Aztec twist. Situated in the heartland of North Yorkshire come to discover this one-of-a-kind soft play. Not only do we have a huge soft play with wavy, spiral and shoot slides, obstacles and challenges but we have a dedicated under 4s area with multiple levels to keep the little explorers entertained for hours!
Twiggyz Play Ltd – Thirsk
Twiggy’s is a 4000 square foot indoor play centre in Thirsk, based on the wonderful Yorkshire countryside. Nestling in the shadows of our own White Horse, the centre provides a safe and secure environment in which children under 10 can run off excess energy and have great fun. From the four-lane slide and the swing ropes to the dedicated under 3’s area with their own little slide and car track, all of our play frames can be viewed from the comfort of our seating area – complete with complimentary wifi and magazines!
Web Adventure Park – York
Web Adventure Park – has an indoor play area within the park. Filled with separate Play Zones incorporating baby and toddler areas, a sports arena, ball cannons and a huge play frame for over fives. If you fancy some role play you will find our village “Bugginton” with a shop, cottage, vets and a DIY store. Little ones can enjoy a variety of role-playing and dress-up, construction, musical instruments, crafts, puppets and messy play offered weekdays in term time.” There is also an outside area that is often open with rides included in the entrance price, animals and play areas.
