Italy has a great choice of family-friendly holiday parks and many of them have waterparks. There is an unforgettable mix of stunning coastline, captivating cities and glistening lakes to keep you all busy. With the parks on offer, who knows you may never leave. There is a variety of parks with a great mix of facilities including pool complexes. We will list the facilities of the waterparks or splash parks below, some are just for younger children and many have fun water slides for all the family.
Hu Norcenni Girasole – Figline Valdarno, Tuscany

Information – The Hu Norcenni Girasole holiday park enjoys some impressive views of the Tuscan Hills. It is a large, steeply terraced pitches from which you can enjoy the panoramic views. The site is well situated for visiting Florence, Pisa and Siena. There is also a shuttle bus service to Figline Valdarno.
There are three separate pool areas with one that has a retractable cover and is heated in winter. Plus outdoor pools including a toddler pool. The lazy river is great for all the family and there are a range of slides around the site, some for all the family and some just for children. The lagoon also has soft dunes that children can slide on. Children can join in with the site-run kids’ clubs which are available for a range of ages.

Information – Union Lido is a great family-friendly 5* resort with its own private beach on the Venetian coast. You will find windsurfing and pedalo hire plus a lifeguard service. There’s even a small train that goes all around the park. The spectacular pool complex is the centrepiece of this holiday park. It has a lagoon pool and a flowing river, ideal for all ages. There are seven pools in total including a Hawaiian beach pool. Kids will love the wild river, a castle with slides and the super slide.
There is a site-run kids club which has sessions for 4 different age groups including teenagers. Other on-site facilities include crazy golf, horse riding, pony rides and there are 3 playgrounds. Plus tennis courts, cycling, football, a gym and watersports.

Information – Located by a wonderful private sandy beach next to the Adriatic you will find Spaggia E Mare holiday park. There is a great pool complex and a programme of evening entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
There is a great water park with a fun splash park, a pirate ship and some really fun water slides. You do have to pay a small charge which is just a bit over 22€ pp for the whole holiday. On-site there is also a couple of family pools, a children’s pool and a regular pool. The park runs kid’s clubs for ages 5-8 and 9-12. Other activities include table tennis, football, volleyball, archery and some watersports.

Information – The Pra Delle Torri is a really impressive holiday park. It boasts one of the most spectacular pool complexes in Europe and there is a sunny sandy beach on its doorstep. There is a great selection of pools with two adult pools and two family pools. At Pra Delle Torri there are plenty of waterslides for different ages and the waterpark is open from early May until early September. Children will love the pirate-themed pool and as well as the waterpark there is also a slide park.
Children can take part in the site-run kids’ clubs for ages 5-8 and 9-12. There are a few on-site restaurants to choose from and a great entertainment programme with something for everyone. Other activities include golf, crazy golf and cycling. Plus kids karting, tennis, watersports and more.

Information – Located next to a fabulous sandy beach is the large and lively holiday Park, Marina Di Venezia. This high-quality park has an excellent pool complex including an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a large kids’ pool. The waterpark has a great splash area, giant jacuzzis and waterslides for all ages. There are six pools to choose from including a fun wave pool. Children aged 5-8 and 9-12 can make new friends at the site-run kid’s clubs.
Also on-site there are three restaurants and an entertainment programme from early May until early September. You can challenge your family to a game of crazy golf and there are play areas for kids. Plus cycling, a climbing wall, trampolines, sports and watersports.

Hu Altomincio Family Park – Salionze, Lake Garda

Information – Located just 7km away from Lake Garda with a lovely village nearby is the HU Altominico Family Park. It has an impressive pool complex and you are also not far from the Gardaland theme park. Their amazing swimming pools have some fun water slides for all the family to enjoy plus a splash area for younger kids. The pools are sculpted into the hill terrain and they are lined with sunloungers for relaxing.
The park has site-run kid’s clubs for ages 5-8 and 9-12. There is a restaurant near the pool complex and their animation team runs an entertainment programme. Kids will love all the playground areas, there are 24 of them to be found. You can also challenge your family to a game of crazy golf and for older children and their adults there is an aerial adventure course.

Information – Sant’Angelo Village has a great beachside location with a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. You can enjoy a walk in the rose gardens, relax on the private beach or take a dip in the jacuzzi. This holiday park has a magnificent water park with swimming pools of different shapes and sizes. There are some great water slides for all ages and younger kids will love the pirate boat. It is also located close to two off-site waterparks, Aqualandia and Aquasplash.
There is a site-run kid’s club for 3 different age groups and an entertainment programme from late May until mid-September. Plus there is a games room and two playgrounds. There are sports facilities and a range of water sports.

Camping Village Serenella – Bardolino, Lake Garda

Information – This is one of the smaller sites on our list with just a small splash park area for younger children but it is charming all the same. Camping Village Serenella enjoys a lakeside location in Bardolino. From the pool area, you can relax and enjoy the lake and mountain views. There is a family pool plus a heated lagoon and a splash play area with slides, water jets and water games.
The holiday park also has a site-run kid’s club for children aged 4 to 12. In high season there is some daytime and nighttime entertainment. On-site activities include a playground, cycling and canoeing in the summer.

Portofelice Camping Village – Eraclea Mare, Adriatic

Information – The Portofelice Camping Village has direct access to a private sandy beach and it is a bustling park with twisting waterslides. It boasts great family-friendly facilities. You have a range of pools to choose from including a six-lane family pool, a kid’s big shallow pool and a leisure complex. The slides here are suitable for children. It’s not one of the biggest waterparks on the list but we felt the site deserved inclusion.
For children, there is a site-run kids’ club for ages 4-10 years. From late May to early September the animation team put on evening shows, sports tournaments, karaoke and more. Other on-site activities include bike hire, tennis courts, football, archery, a running track and boules. Some facilities are only available in July and August.
