Our son has ‘visit a farm park’ on his summer bucket list so that is what we did. We had never been to Piglets Adventure Farm near York before and we were all impressed. There is so much to do there and there are some really lovely and different things to do as well. Below […]
As a mum of three, I visit a LOT of places across in and around my home county of Buckinghamshire so our family days out have got to be either cheap or great value. I’m going to share my ten favourite places to visit and why they make fantastic, cheap, family days out. Guest post […]
The Wycombe Swan Theatre was opened in November 1992. It seats over a thousand audience members. The theatre presents a varied and eclectic programme: musicals and dramas (professional and amateur), comedians, orchestras, tribute acts, ballets, ice dancing shows and pantomimes. It also hosts a summer youth project every year, which culminates in a full musical performance with […]
Our visit to Murton Park was a bit of a spontaneous last minute thing. We were meeting my Mum halfway for a day out and the weather forecast wasn’t great. I had a quick look around for somewhere with indoor and outdoor attractions. I was focusing on the outskirts of York and I came across […]
We were invited to review Mother Shipton’s cave in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. I haven’t been there in years so I jumped at the chance to visit and review one of the oldest tourist attractions in the UK. The attraction is located in the heart of Knaresborough which is not too far from Harrogate. It is […]
I am well known for spending far more money on my son’s clothes than my own. I recently purchased a whole summer wardrobe for him. What did I get for myself? Nothing. When JD Williams asked me if I’d like to try some of their clothes I jumped at the chance. We all need spoiling. […]
Mykonos is an island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea, it is a part of Greece. Mykonos is not just all about the lively bars and nightclubs though. It is actually an island that is worth exploring by daylight. One of the most iconic landmarks is a row of 16th-century windmills high on […]
My husband and I are both self-employed. We have pets at home that can’t often go with anyone to be looked after so we love our short breaks. It’s also a really great way to see lots of different places, usually packing as much as we can into 2 days and 2-3 nights. Over the […]
I am in love with a Sunscreen. We were sent a bottle of Evy Sunscreen Mousse to try out. At first, I thought the RRP of £25 seemed a little steep but my goodness does this go far. You really do get what you pay for and more. The mousse is highly concentrated, so when […]
During our 5 night stay in Iceland, we spent one of our days there touring around the south of the country. There are some lovely places to see and some great things to do. Most of which can easily be done in one day. The thing about Iceland is it is vast and it can […]
Situated just outside the city of Exeter is a gem of a castle and one well worth visiting. Unlike other stately homes, it has been the Courtenay family home for over 600 years and still is. The current Earl and Countess of Devon live on the estate. Powderham Castle is open every day except Saturdays […]
If you are visiting Lincoln then I can highly recommend you include a visit to Lincoln Cathedral. It is located high up on the hill of Lincoln and opposite Lincoln Castle. It is a beautiful building and we loaned their relatively new Explorer backpack during our last visit there. It’s a really lovely idea for […]
