There is so much to do this Christmas and New Year in the great City of London. Here’s a roundup of some of the best things to see and do.

New Year’s Eve party at the Shard

One thing I really love to watch, if we’re not already out, is the amazing fireworks from the Thames at midnight on New Year’s Eve. The fireworks are famous all over the world and I’ve only ever seen them on TV. It can get really crowded trying to find the best spot overlooking the Thames. So imagine if you could actually get one of the best views going by being at the top of the Shard?

Even better kids aren’t invited as it’s over 18’s only. So persuade the grandparents that the kids need babysitting and head on down there for some drinks, a live DJ and a 360 view of the best fireworks in London.

Sea Life London Aquarium & Azzuro Waterloo

Why not book a package to visit the Sea Life Aquarium followed by a two-course meal and a coffee at Azzuo in Waterloo? The aquarium houses over 500 species of species of fish and other sea creatures.

With viewing tunnels and 14 themed zones you can not only see over 40 sharks but there are touch pools, diving displays, public feeding times and more. Azzuro is an Italian restaurant with a great range of pizza, pasta and more yummy delights.

Shrek’s Adventure

We are big fans of the Shrek films in our household. You start your visit on a 4D DreamWorks tour bus. Then as you walk through the attraction you have the opportunity to be part of the 10 live fairy-tale-themed shows.

During your Christmas break, why not catch up with some Christmas TV? British soaps are at their best over the Christmas period – find out why.

Tower of London & London Eye

I have been to the Tower of London many times and it is one of my favourite places to visit. Not only because you can see the crown jewels but because of its history and the Yeoman warders (Beefeaters). It’s a must for anyone’s bucket list.

The London Eye is so iconic of the London skyline, even though it’s only been there since 2000. The view as you are travelling around must be stunning. There’s nowhere else to experience a view quite like it. There’s even a 4d cinema experience.

London Bundle – Top 4 Attractions

You can see the top 4 London attractions with one discount ticket. Included are the Original open bus tour, Thames River cruise, Madame Tussauds and Tower Bridge. The double-decker bus travels on three different routes and stops at many of London’s attractions and landmarks.

You can take a leisurely cruise on the Thames. Hang out with the rich and famous at Madame Tussauds (selfie heaven) and explore one of London’s most recognisable Landmarks that is Tower Bridge. Inside there is an award-winning exhibit about the tower itself.

River Thames Christmas Cruise Lunch

Why not book to go on a two-and-a-half-hour cruise of the Thames including a Christmas lunch? Children can attend from the age of 5+. You will be served a 3-course lunch on the Harmony cruise boat. Included in the Christmas cruise is entertainment from a live band with a singer.
