Conkers

Conkers is an award-winning attraction in the heart of the National Forest. There is one big long car park with two entrances to the attraction. One at the Discovery Centre and the other at the Waterside Centre.
What is there to do at Conkers?
Make sure when you arrive that you check what you may need to pre-book for that day. This can include the 4D film and pond dipping sessions. Conkers is a wonderful back-to-nature day out. Outdoors you will find sand and water play, quirky playgrounds, a sensory trail, a Fairy Labyrinth and a human-size rabbit warren with tunnels. The highlight is the barefoot walk.
I recommend you take a towel to clean your feet afterwards, there are paths with water, rocks, pebbles, sand, straw and more. It’s quite an experience. Also outdoors you will find a Sky viewing tower and a maze, plus extra activities such as bushcraft. You can hop on one of their regular train rides on the Conkerchoo II to the other end of the park.
At the other end of the park, you will find Playdale Adventure playground which has plenty of play equipment for older children and a smaller area for young children. There’s a woodland walk to find a wobbly bridge, den building and more. At the Waterside Centre, there is an indoor soft play area which has an additional charge.
Back up at the Discovery Centre, there is plenty to do indoors. It is crammed full of exhibits, most of them interactive (over 100!). Plus a play area with a mineshaft-themed slide and enchanted forest play with rope walkways and slides. Next to this is the 4D cinema, don’t forget to reserve your time slot. Conkers has some great annual events,, I haven’t even covered everything above. For an additional cost, Conkers has a Vertigo Adventures course. This is a high ropes adventure with 15 aerial sections 30 feet above the ground. There’s also a junior ropes course and an over-13 assault course.

Is there food and drink available?
There is a cafe at both centres which sells hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to picnic outside.
What are the main things to do?
Sand and water play, tunnels, mazes, playgrounds, a train, a barefoot walk, woodland walks, a discovery centre with interactive exhibits, 4D film, indoor play and more. In addition, there are two aerial adventure courses and an assault course. There are toilets, a shop and two cafes.
What are the ticket prices?
Between £8 to £12 per person and children under 3 are free.

When are they open?
