We harvest in excess of 1 million of our famous pumpkins each year. Be careful not to disturb the undead as you enter the Castle dooms, meet frightful guides in disguise, solve spooktacular mysteries and carve pumpkins in the old kitchens. During October why not come and join us for the Burghley Halloween Trail around the Sculpture Garden. Tread through the crispy Autumn leaves and find the hidden spooks to receive a treat. Admission is included with a House and Gardens or Gardens only ticket. Annual Pass holders and Friends of Burghley also get free admission.

Info from a previous event – Here on the farm, we are going pumpkin mad again during the October half term holiday in our pumpkin patch…explore the patch and have fun picking your own pumpkin. Whilst at the park you can also try to find the 9 mischievous black cats which are hiding around the park with a prize for everyone who can find them.

Take a tractor ride on our Halloween themed trailer to feed the cattle plus all of our other usual indoor and outdoor activities. After all that fun tuck into some tasty Halloween treats in our tearoom. Please note small additional charges apply for pick your own pumpkin and tractor rides.

Heights of Abraham, Derbyshire – October Fun – Tickets on sale now

The FRIGHTS of Abraham returns to Masson Hill this October half term with an enchanted witch’s grotto, colourful scarecrow displays at the summit and in the wild woods, tasty Halloween treats in the cafe and a treasure hunt to find 13 magical black cats for younger guests.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, Lincolnshire – Ghost Hunt – Tickets on sale now

Join us from 10am for a spookily good walk around the park! With Ghost & Ghouls to find and treats to be won, you’re in for a fun family day out. For just a £1.00 donation to the charity, you can join in the trail to find the ghosts, and win a prize at the end if you find them all. Plus, there will be children’s activities and competitions to join in and win some great prizes, such as a best dressed competition, colouring competition and activities at the Wild4Learning hub.

Manor Farm Park, Leicestershire – Half Term Halloween Fun – Tickets on sale now

Join us on the farm this October half term, for our famous Spooky Maize Maze and all-new Ghoul School! Young thrill-seekers will love our Spooky Maize Maze, with frights and sprites around every corner, along with Ghoul School, a new twenty-minute audio extravaganza, teaching kids how to become perfect little monsters. Matlock Farm Park – Fang-tastic Halloween Festival – Tickets on sale now

The return of our PUMPKIN PATCH, for children to pick their own pumpkin* and carve at our carving station. A daily spooky trail to follow in our ENCHANTED FOREST, with prop based sets and riddles galore. From Wednesday to Halloween Sunday there will also be brilliant Live fun (not scary!) Halloween characters to meet on your way at set times of the week. They’ll be pottering around the park too to meet with our visitors and have lots of fun with!

Witch Wendolyn’s Craft Workshops for the children. Matlock’s legendary Headless Horseman making an appearance late afternoon as the light goes down.

Join us at Mini Meadows Farm for some spooky fun. Find your perfect pumpkin from our pumpkin patch and use our mini wheelbarrows to get it back to the carving station. Have fun scooping out the seeds and then let your imagination run wild. What will you turn yours into?

After carving your fangtastic pumpkin, explore our spooktacular ‘trick or treat’ trail, which is undercover so no need to worry about the weather, just watch out for the skeletons! The trail is designed with little ones in mind, so a little bit of spook without anything too scary.

One of our Perfect Pumpkin Carvers will do the tricky job of carving out your design ready for you to take home! Head over to the wand making area to make your own wand. Watch our animated talking pumpkins and finish off with a visit to Daisy the Witch’s House!
