This is a round-up post for events this Halloween 2023 in the East of England, for the October half-term. We’ve found events in all of the counties and there are plenty of ideas to keep you busy. Audley End Miniature Railway – Halloween Special â€“ Tickets on sale – Essex

Your fang-tastic experience will begin at the station where our station masters will board you upon our Halloween express. Chugging deep into the Estate Woodland you will arrive at the witches’ house and be greeted by the coven of witches together with their cheeky monster friends.

The wicked witches and playful monsters will entertain you, cackling and chanting spells around their cauldrons. But make sure you behave yourselves as they perform their witchy dance, or they might cast a spell on you.

Barleylands Farm – Spooky Nights â€“ Tickets on sale – Essex

This year we are running the event over THREE nights, from the 26th to the 28th of October, when we will see the return of the brilliant Skittleman disco, toddler fairground rides, spooky walks and safe trick or treating around The Village.

Bewilderwood – Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade – Tickets on Sale – Norfolk

See the woods in whole new light, as you adventure through the magical light extravaganza and watch the story unfold as you journey through the woods down mysterious paths exclusive to this event. Make marvellous memories as a family, and don’t worry if you aren’t the bravest Boggle – it’s spooky not scary!

Start your adventure at dusk and craft your own Glorious Glowing Lantern to help the Boggles light up the woods at Hazel’s Hideaway, before embarking on a journey through BeWILDerwood like you have never seen before. Church Farm Ardeley – Halloween half-term â€“ Tickets on sale – Hertfordshire

Geared towards families with younger children (so ‘spooky’ rather than ‘terrifying’!), all ages are welcome!

Our Spooky Farm Pass includes: 

Spooky Farm Trail to see the animals ~ Creepy Woodland Play Area ~ Pumpkin Hunt ~ Scarecrow Trail ~ Halloween Activity Pack ~ Stickers for Halloween Costumes.

Church Farm Stow Bardolph – Pirates of Neverland â€“ Tickets on sale – Norfolk

There will be lots of swash-buckling adventures & activities daily.

  • Come and win a prize at our Fancy Dress Contest – Come dressed as a pirate, fairy or lost boy/girl
  • Marvel at our glorious straw pirate ship

There will also be our usual Animal Encounter Sessions happening every day, and Tractor rides will run, on the hour every hour, from 11 am – 4 pm at £1 per person.

Colchester Zoo – Shriek Week â€“ Tickets on sale – Essex

This October half term, enjoy a week filled with SPOOK-TACULAR daytime activities suitable for children of all ages. Let your little one transform into a scary witch or creepy vampire at our Face Painting Station or create wands and potions with the good witches and wizards at the Witches’ Coven. Our range of FANG-TASTIC activities will keep the family entertained all day long.

East Anglia Transport Museum – Halloween â€“ Event info coming soon – Suffolk

Info from last year – No tricks – just treats, but there are some spooky goings on around the site with a free witch hunt for the children with a prize for every child. The late running of our trams trolley buses and train into the evening will be a chilling experience for all, as the woods come alive with the spirits of All Hallows Eve when it gets dark. There will be extra treats for any children in fancy dress.

Hastys Adventure Farm – Pumpkin Event – Tickets on Sale – Essex

We have a ton of family fun planned for you and the kids over Halloween 2023.

The kids will love following the child-friendly Happy Ghost Trail, taking photos in the Pumpkin Selfie Areas and all the many other activities that add up to a whole day of fun for the family.

Hatfield House – Half Term Halloween – Tickets on Sale – Hertfordshire

Enjoy family time together this Half Term at Hatfield Park. There’s something for everyone! Plus all activities are included in a single ticket.

Something spooky is going on here at Hatfield Park…

Open from 10.30 am – 4 pm every day during the Half Term, our Wicked Woodland Walk is the perfect place to soak up the beautiful colours of autumn.

But BEWARE, stray too deep and you might just find some gruesome characters lurking in the forest!

Nene Valley Railway – Ghost train â€“ Tickets on sale – Cambridgeshire

Join us here at Wansford for a Trick or Treat party here at Nene Valley Railway. Upon arrival, you’ll get your goody bag to collect some wonderful tricks and treats. With a variety of Trick or Treat activities and stops, there is something for everyone at Thomas’ Trick or Treat Party. Wyvernwood – Halloween â€“ Tickets on sale – Essex

After failing in her attempt to other-throw Princess Arabella and take over the Enchanted Lost Kingdom last year, the Wicked Witch has returned to Wyvernwood to wreak havoc!

And that’s not all… Another villainous rogue has entered the Kingdom through the Magic Portal – the evil Fairy Catcher of Salamanca!
