This is a round-up post for events this Halloween 2023 in the South West, for this October half-term. I’ve found events in all of the counties and there are plenty of ideas to keep you busy. American Museum & Gardens – Trick or Treat – Tickets on sale – Somerset

Join us throughout the October half-term for a cool, spooky day out at the museum with a classic American Trick or Treat atmosphere. There will be lots of family activities, a scavenger hunt in the autumnal gardens and a fun trail around the manor house.

Visit the LEGO bricks exhibition and build something weird and wonderful for the Brick Hall of Fame Gallery, and enjoy some seasonal Halloween treats at the American Garden Deli. Why not get into the spirit of Halloween and come in a costume?

Avon Valley Park – Pumpkin Patch – Tickets on sale – Somerset

Grab a wheelbarrow and roam through the massive homegrown pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Don’t want to get muddy? Choose a pumpkin from the event area, we have a huge selection of gourd-geous gourds and super squashes for you to choose from.

Pumpkins are not included in the event entry ticket. Pumpkins are priced depending on size and variety. Plus more.

Berkeley Castle – Ghoul School – Tickets on sale – Gloucestershire

Back for another year!

Fabled Feast brings us ‘Ghoul School’! An interactive, self-led audio extravaganza that will teach your young thrill-seekers all they need to know to become perfect little monsters.

Along the way, they will encounter a spooky array of teachers who’ll impart their delights, frights, and vampire bites.

Bishop’s Palace – Spooky Tale – Event Confirmed – Somerset

Come dressed in your best-est and most gruesome for a scare of stories MWAHAHAH!!! (but not TOO scary) with the grimace of ghostly teeth, devilish meetings (told first-hand by Old Nick himself – in puppet form) and a night in the Inn with a wig that turns white with fright!

Bowood House Gardens – Pumpkin Trail – Tickets on sale – Wiltshire

Join Witch Ramona and black cat Luna on a hunt to break the spell that the ghosts and ghouls have cast over the Bowood Estate. Find all the things needed to complete Ramona’s magic rhyme as you work your way around the pumpkin trail this Autumn half-term.

The trail is included in your Bowood House & Gardens Day Ticket and is complimentary to Bowood Season Ticket Holders.

Please collect a booklet on arrival at Admissions.

Camel Creek – Halloween – Tickets on sale – Cornwall

Info from last year – You are invited to our spooky spectacular this October half-term at Camel Creek. We’ve so much planned it’s frightening! Our guests’ favourites shall be returning, from our Stable Suprise to our House of Horrors, Witch’s Grotto and so many new spooky attractions from trails, treats, and maybe the odd trick.

What’s great about Halloween at Camel Creek is all our extra Halloween attractions are included in our admissions price! It really is great value for money, there is so much to cram into a ghoulishly good day out for you and the family.

Cattle Country Farm Park – Pumpkin Patch – Tickets on sale – Gloucestershire

We’ve got thousands of home-grown pumpkins and gourds to pick! Your Farm Park Tickets include entry to the Pumpkin Patch AND a whole day in the park! Pumpkins are priced by size and start at £1 each.

So grab your wellies (strongly recommended!) a wheelbarrow and pick your perfect pumpkin at Cattle Country. Plus check out our Pumpkin Patch photo booths for the ultimate autumn family photo!

Best Halloween Events Gloucestershire 2020

Cheddar Gorge – The Ghost Of Cheddar Man – Tickets on sale – Somerset

This Halloween half-term, join us for The Ghost of Cheddar Man festivities.

Cheddar Man, Britain’s oldest complete skeleton (he’s very old…. 10,000 years!) was found here in Gough’s Cave, 120 years ago. To celebrate this anniversary, we are hosting a special Halloween event.

To get an invite you must join the trail and track down Cheddar Mans’ friends dotted around Gough’s Cave. Once you’ve spotted them all, you’ll gain entry to The Ghost of Cheddar Man celebrations. There’s even a reward to take home with you! This Halloween experience is included in the price of your Day Ticket.

Info from last year – We hope you can join us for some SPOOKTACULAR fun for little ones this Halloween Half Term! Our team transform into our entertaining ‘Boo Crew’, dressing up and getting into the ‘spirit’ of things is highly encouraged! There are CAULDRONS full of family fun! Most of the farm park has a spooky makeover (We know Halloween isn’t for everyone so, some areas of the farm park won’t be decorated and will be spook-free). The Hen House will be serving up some GHOULISH GOODIES!

There’s a host of fang-tastic family fun on offer at Flambards throughout the October Half Term holidays as we celebrate â€˜Trick or Treat Week’!

Pick up a Pumpkin Hunt sheet and hunt for clues throughout the park – Get it right and you might even win a treat!! Or tackle the Penny Dreadful quiz sheet or Mystery Trial in the Victorian village.

The popular Fireworks Spooktacular will return to the park on Wednesday 25th October 2023!

Longleat – The Great British Autumn – Tickets on sale – Wiltshire

Watch in awe as owls swoop over you, have a go at carving pumpkins (additional charges apply) and become a mini tractor driver. Then head outside to find the giant pumpkins and solve the riddle for a sweet treat.

Afterwards, discover curious kinkajous, prickly porcupines and plenty more amazing animals. On a Drive Through Safari, our big cats are at home amongst the hues of autumn and our wolves are testing out their howls for this spooktacular time of year.

Noah’s Ark Zoo – Pumpkin Fest – Tickets on Sale – Somerset

Explore our undercover pumpkin-themed corner, enjoy the seasonal games and capture the perfect pumpkin picture.

This year’s pumpkins are weird, wacky, and wonderful – coming in all different shapes and sizes and grown using our very own rhino and elephant dung! If you would like to take a pumpkin home after your day of autumnal fun at Noah’s Ark, we have a wide selection to choose from at the Farmshop Pumpkin Patch, with prices starting from just £3. You’ll find the Farmshop located in the car park.

Collect a trail map from the ticket office and follow the clues around the Zoo to bust myths about a range of misunderstood animals at Noah’s Ark. Complete the trail and hand it in at the ticket office for the chance to win an animal adoption.

Puxton Park – Pumpkin Patch – Tickets on Sale – Somerset

Come pick your own pumpkin at Puxton Park’s Pumpkin Patch this October! We have over 40,000 pumpkins for you to pick from.

Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is FREE. You do not need to visit the park in order to visit the Pumpkin Patch but you’re more than welcome to and make a whole day of it! Pay for what you pick, prices vary depending on size. Card/Cash accepted.

The Pumpkin Patch is located at the far end of the car park opposite the reception. Our pumpkin patch is also a great photo op for some adorable family pics and we’re dog-friendly too!
