Best Summer Events North West 2021 | Family Friendly | Things to Do

Here it is our list of the best summer events across the South East to keep you busy all summer. This list includes events in the North West of England – Cheshire – Cumbria – Greater Manchester – Lancashire (no events found as yet in Lancashire) – Merseyside. All events are family-friendly.

Please keep up-to-date with government guidance before booking or visiting. I am unsure of the following attractions policies on cancellations of events, please consider this before booking and check with them in advance. It may also be an idea to check with the attraction that everything is as advertised the day before you visit.

Knowsley Safari Park – Intrepid Explorers Club – Merseyside

A Bit About – For ages 8-10. “It’s back for 2021! Our Intrepid Explorers is a fun holiday programme where children take part in a range of activities exploring the natural world and how to look after it. This includes a range of games, crafts and messy activities. This is a 5-day programme with each day running from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. The best part is, there will be one awesome animal feed that the children get to watch each day! See the giraffes tucking into their leaves or the wolves eating as a pack.”

Quarry Bank National Trust – The Lost Words Trail – Cheshire

A Bit About – “Explore the gardens at Quarry Bank to rediscover nature’s disappearing words with a family trail inspired by Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris’s spellbook, The Lost Words. The Lost Words features words from the natural world that have disappeared from the Oxford Junior Dictionary as children spend less time outdoors. Words like ‘broadband’ and ‘chatroom’ have replaced others describing the natural world, like ‘bramble’ and ‘conker’.”

Tatton Park and Farm – Summer Adventures – Cheshire

A Bit About – “Head to the Farm for a summer adventure with Percy the Park Keeper and friends. Wythenshawe Park – Dino Kingdom – Greater Manchester
