Here it is, our list of the best summer events across the South East to keep you busy all summer. This list includes events in Yorkshire – East, North, South and West. All events are family-friendly.

Please keep up-to-date with government guidance before booking or visiting. I am unsure of the following attractions policies on cancellations of events, please consider this before booking and check with them in advance. It may also be an idea to check with the attraction that everything is as advertised the day before you visit.

Time Travellers – Have fun travelling through space and time with Rusticus Arts on this epic adventure featuring characters from the past, present and future who all have their own ideas about what makes Burnby Hall Gardens so special! Eden Camp – 1940s living history weekend – North Yorkshire

When? 28th and 29th August

A Bit About – “Re-enactors will be on-site over the bank holiday weekend; the groups will be portraying both military and civilians, helping to enhance the 1940s theme and allowing visitors to get up close to uniforms, clothing and kit of the period. All visitors to the museum are invited to join in with the fun and get dressed up in either civilian or military period clothing.”

A Bit About – Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta, formerly York Balloon Fiesta, returns for 2021 with the biggest hot air balloon festival Yorkshire has ever seen. This four-day festival includes a weekend of hot air balloons, children’s entertainment, live music, tribute acts, food and drink, as well as a large funfair. The pinnacle of the festival will be the popular Hot Air Balloon Night Glow, followed by a brand new firework, drone and laser show!
