20 + Best Easter Events East Midlands 2023

Welcome to our what’s on guide this Easter in the East Midlands in 2023. This includes events and attractions that are open in Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire. Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Please check with the attractions that they are open and their events are running before you leave home. Many attractions still require visitors to pre-book in advance. Please note that entrance prices etc are not included below, please visit the relevant website for further information.

Belton House – Lincolnshire

When? 3rd – 16th April
Address: High Rd, Belton, Grantham NG32 2LW
Event – Easter Adventures About – Spring into action this Easter, with an exciting trail through the gardens at Belton. There are ten different activities to enjoy, including locating the animal footprints and working out who they belong to, and taking on the rabbit racecourse. The price of the trail includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end. There is an allergen free alternative available. (while stocks last).


Belvoir Castle – Leicestershire

When? 1st – 10th April.
Address: Grantham NG32 1PE.
Event – Easter Trail About – Bring the whole family along for an adventure through our beautiful formal gardens on a quest to find the Easter bunny and friends. Set your little one’s imagination soaring as you solve puzzles and work your way through the stunning Belvoir Castle landscape. Come along and hop into our half-term fun!


Bolsover Castle – Derbyshire

When? 1st – 16th April.
Address: Castle St, Bolsover, Chesterfield S44 6PR.
Event – Easter Adventure Quest. About – Explore the castle and grounds to hunt for clues and challenges and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race. Track down the Easter eggs and you’ll be rewarded with an adventurer’s certificate and a tasty chocolate treat. 1st-6th and 11th-16th April. On the 7th-10th April there is the Easter Escapades event.


Burghley House – Lincolnshire

When? 9h April
Address: Peterborough, Stamford PE9 3JY
Event – Easter Egg Treasure Hunt A Bit About – Bring your family and come with your friends for delightful Easter entertainment in the Sculpture Garden. Hunt for clues and solve the riddle to claim a full-size Easter Egg from Burghley’s Easter Bunny.


Calke Abbey – Derbyshire

When? 1st – 16th April
Address: Ticknall, Derby DE73 7JF
Event – Easter Egg Hunts About – Our Easter helpers will provide you with a trail sheet, bunny ears and pencil before you set out on your adventure and when you’ve finished, head back to the Discovery Centre to receive your Easter Egg and enjoy our seasonal activities indoors.


Clumber Park – Nottinghamshire

When? 1st – 16th April
Address: Clumber Park, Worksop S80 3AZ
Event –
Family Easter Adventures A Bit About – Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Come along and explore the beautiful parklands of Clumber Park. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.


Crich Tramway Village – Derbyshire

When? 9th – 10h April
Address: Crich, Matlock DE4 5DP.
Event – Memories of the homefront 1940s A Bit About – Step back to 1940s Britain on the Homefront, with live entertainment from the 1940s and a range of nostalgic events. There will be a children’s boot camp / drill for those brave enough to face Sergeant Major Marmite!  Our ‘Winston Churchill’ will make rallying speeches at Town End and walk about meeting visitors. Re enactors will be mingling and there will be group displays on Woodland Walk.


Great Central Railway – Leicestershire

When? 7th – 10th April.
Address: Great Central Rd, Loughborough LE11 1RW
Event – Easter Vintage Festival About – All aboard for Great Central Railway’s Easter Vintage Festival! Get ready to step back in time to a country fayre at Quorn & Woodhouse station. There’s gallopers and a big wheel, traction engines, craft stalls, vintage cars, commercials and tractors. There’s also a real ale tent with live music on Friday and Saturday.


Gulliver’s Kingdom – Derbyshire

When open? Selected dates in April

Event – Spring Spectacular A Bit About – Join the Easter Bunny and Candy Crew for mad-cap antics and candy activities this April at Gulliver’s. Discover Lollipop Trees, Colossal Candy Canes and take some Sweet Selfies along the way. The Easter Bunny will be making special appearances plus you’ll be able to take part in brand-new family games and attractions, all with a candy-themed twist.


Gunby Estate – Lincolnshire

When? 1st – 17th April

Event – Easter Trail About – Easter Trail at Gunby 2023. Where will your Easter adventure take you? This Easter adventure takes you on a Gunby themed journey including numerous themed activities.


Heights of Abraham – Derbyshire

Event – Easter weekend at the heights A Bit About – Take part in a classic Easter Egg Hunt.


Kedleston Hall – Derbyshire

When? 6th – 11th April

Event – Easter Egg Hunts About – Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Come along and explore the beautiful parkland of Kedleston Hall. The price of the trail includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.


Lincolnshire Wildlife Park – Lincolnshire

When? Now until the end of the Easter Holidays

Event – Easter 2023 About – Are you an “eggs”pert egg finder? Well, the cheeky meerkats have hidden eggs around the park for you to find, so follow Mr Macaw down the meerkat hole and win a chocolatey treat for helping. Plus, if you find a golden egg while you’re searching, then you’ll win a BIGGER treat


Manor Farm and Woodlands – Leicestershire

When? 3rd – 14th April.

Event – Easter Vintage Festival About – Meet the Easter chicks and bunnies in the Animal Chat Room and visit the Easter Bunny to collect a treat.


Matlock Farm Park – Derbyshire

Events – Three different events A Bit About – 15th – Good Friday: The Snow Sisters! Get the kids dressed up and let it go. 17th – Jurassic Fun Day – Come along and get involved in some fantastic dinosaur fun this Easter Sunday. 18th – The Big Bubble Man – He’s back by popular demand. The Big Bubbleman, his bubble mill, wands and special potions make the most AMAZING bubbles. Whether it’s monster bubbles the size of a CAR, or swirling clouds of smaller bubbles being chased by happy children, this is pure joy.

Event – Easter Fun About – There will be plenty of Egg-citement at Rockingham Castle as the Castle & Gardens opens this Easter Bank Holiday! Collect your leaflet and start exploring the Gardens to seek out our Easter Trail. Don’t forget, once you’ve completed your booklet, you can collect your Easter Egg. Billy The Bunny will also be joining us around the gardens, make sure you say hello.


Rufford Abbey – Nottinghamshire

Easter Egg Hunt A Bit About – The annual Rufford Abbey Country Park Easter Egg Hunt is back! Find all the eggs that our troublesome bunnies have hidden and receive a very special prize! Don’t forget to count the eggs on your way around and record them on the trail sheet – you will need to bring your own pen or pencil.


West Lodge Farm Park – Northamptonshire

When? 1st – 16th April

Event – Easter Eggstravaganza About

  • Collect your Easter Garden Pass on arrival and head towards the Easter Bunny’s garden.
  • Take part in the Bunny challenge and you will be awarded with your very own Bunny Ears
  • Have a wander in the big Easter garden and find as many Easter Eggs (not chocolate) as you can.
  • The Mad Hatter will be on hand to help you post your eggs into the Eggcellent Egg Sorting Machine! … and more
