Alnwick Garden – Northumberland

Event – Around the world in 18 days About – The Animal Kingdom has arrived at The Alnwick Garden ready for you to discover. Channel your inner Phileas Fogg this Easter holiday by exploring the Safari, unearthing the Rainforest and delving deep into the Ocean! Just grab your handy passport as part of our touring trail and adventure and see what you can identify!

Bamburgh Castle – Northumberland

When? 9th – 24th April

Event – Hope the dragon’s Easter Trail About – Purchase a children’s activity book for £2.95 per book from the ticket office or from our gift shop (it will keep the children entertained for ages!) follow the clues for Hope’s trail in the book and work out the special word. When you have worked out the word head to either the Clock Tower Tea Room or our Tack Room and claim your Easter tasty treat. 

Beamish – County Durham

When? 15th – 18th April

Event – Easter Celebrations About – Join us for traditional Easter celebrations! We’ll have some cracking Easter-themed activities around the museum including egg jarping, egg decorating and egg rolling!

Belsay Hall – Northumberland

When? 2nd – 24th April
Address: Belsay, Morpeth NE20 0DX
Event – Easter Adventure Quest About – National Trust. Join us for a cracking adventure quest at Belsay Hall this Easter holiday. Explore the site to hunt for clues and challenges, and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race. Track down the Easter eggs and you’ll be rewarded with a chocolate treat and an adventurer’s certificate. The quest costs just £1.50, which you can pay when you arrive at the site. This is in addition to the normal ticket price.

Cragside – Northumberland

When? 9th – 24th April
Address: Rothbury, Morpeth NE65 7PX
Event – Easter Trail About – National Trust – Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between Saturday 9 and Sunday 24 April from 10.30am-3.30pm, so come along and explore. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg.

Gibside – Tyne and Wear

When? 2nd – 19th April
Address: near, Rowlands Gill, Newcastle upon Tyne NE16 6BG
Event – Easter Adventure Quest About – National Trust. There are 10 trail points for you to find, with activities to complete at each station. Along the route, you can discover what makes Gibside special in spring. Venture through the Walled Garden, up the Avenue and wind your way past the Stables towards the Octagon Pond before heading back to Market Place. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

High Force – County Durham

When? 9th – 24th April

Event – Easter Egg Hunt About – This year we have asked our lovely visitors to help design our Easter egg trail. Can you spot the winning designs throughout the woodlands on your way to the impressive High Force Waterfall?

Jarrow Hall – Tyne and Wear

When? 9th – 24th April

Event – Easter Egg Hunt About – Strange nests appear at Jarrow Hall at this time of year. Help us to solve this puzzle in our interactive family activity around the farm area. Included with your ticket on open days from 9th to 24th April. A prize for all helpers! These are the busiest days of the year for us so please book your entry tickets in advance to avoid disappointment via our ticket page.

Paxton House – Northumberland

When? 16th April

Event – Easter Eggstravaganza About – Join us for a fun-filled Easter Eggstravaganza! We can promise bouncy castles, dance fun with Boogie Beat Music and Movement, pottery painting with Cheviot Ceramics, face painting, ice creams and lots of Easter activities. The tearoom will be open for Easter treats and the daffodils will be blooming so book now for a fabulous family day out.

Raby Castle – County Durham

When? 9th – 24th April

Event – Easter Trail About – This Easter we will have a brand new trail for families to discover. As you explore, keep an eye out for all the wonderful wildlife that calls Raby home. From the ducks and swans on the lake to the red and fallow deer in the park, there is always so much to see.

Seaton Delaval Hall – Northumberland

When? 11th – 24th April
Address: The Avenue, Seaton Sluice, Whitley Bay NE26 4QR
Event – Easter Egg Hunts About – National Trust. The trail takes place between 11 – 24 April 2022 from 10 am to 5 pm, with the last entry at 4 pm, so come along and explore the beautiful gardens of Seaton Delaval Hall. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

Wallington Hall – Northumberland

When? 13th – 20th April

Event – Easter Eggstravaganza About – Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Come along and explore the beautiful woodlands of Wallington. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and chocolate egg at the end.

Washington Old Hall – Tyne and Wear

When? 15th – 18th April
Address: The Avenue, Washington NE38 7LE
Event – Easter Egg Hunts About – National Trust. Make your way around the garden trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Stop at each trail point and complete the nature-inspired activity. Venture through the Parterre, wind your way through the Nuttery, and along the route you can discover what makes Washington Old Hall special in spring. Don’t forget to head to the finish to collect your chocolate egg.

Whitehouse Farm Centre – Northumberland

When? 9th – 24th April

Event – Easter Eggstravaganza About – Hop into – Daily magic shows. Bottle feeding lambs. Lots of Easter babies including lambs, calves and kids. PLUS on the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th of April meet the Easter Bunny and take part in our Easter Egg Hunt around the farm

WWT Washington – Tyne and Wear

When? 15th – 18th April

Event – Easter Eggstravaganza About – A gang of BIG YELLOW ducks is flocking to Washington this Easter – can you ‘quack the case’ and help us find them hiding around our wetlands?! Search our site with friends and family and have fun finding them hidden amongst their real-life duck friends.
