Welcome to our what’s on guide this Easter in the South East in 2022. This includes events and attractions that are open in Berkshire – Buckinghamshire – London – East Sussex – West Sussex – Hampshire – Isle of Wight – Kent – Oxfordshire – Surrey. Amberley Museum – Sussex

Event – Easter Holiday Activities About – From Wednesday to Friday, join us for our drop-in craft activities to make Easter-themed suncatchers and papercuts, inspired by the Eastern European traditions of pysanky (decorated Ukrainian Easter eggs) and vytynanky (papercutting). Every open day, brush up your wildlife knowledge with our Easter bird egg trail and win a small, chocolatey prize.

Arundel Castle – Sussex

Event – Medieval Festival Easter About – Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a Medieval Festival at Arundel castle. Marvel at the skills of our falconers and their magnificent birds of prey. The clash of steel will ring from our fearsome sword fighting and the hammers of our craftspeople making armour and jewellery. Our younger visitors can take part in the famous Kids’ Battles and everyone can test their skills at archery, crossbows and axe throwing. 

Basildon Park – Berkshire

Batemans – Sussex

Event – Easter Egg Hunts About – National Trust. The trail takes place between 2–18 April 2022, 10am–4pm, so come along and explore the beautiful garden at Bateman’s. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

Battle Abbey – Sussex

Event – The Great Big Golden Egg Hunt About – This year the popular Longdown Golden Egg Hunt is even bigger and better than ever before with nineteen golden eggs to find every day, PLUS one very special platinum egg! There will be a prize for those who are fortunate enough to find a golden egg, and an eggstra special prize awarded to the person who finds the platinum egg!

Event – Annual Riverhill Bunny Hunt About – A firm Riverhill family favourite – our traditional Bunny Hunt takes place amongst the rhododendrons in our beautiful Wood Garden. Collect your sheet from the Garden Room and get hunting to earn some chocolate egg rewards. Great fun for all ages!

Spa Valley Railway – Kent

When? 15th – 18th April

Event – Little Red Riding Hoods Easter Train Ride About – The fun begins at Tunbridge Wells West Station where Little Red and her friends encounter the very hungry, Big Bad Wolf. Along the way, Little Red will hand out activity packs and colouring pencils to all her friends onboard. Upon arrival at Eridge station, everybody will make their way on to the platform where Little Red and her friends will seek out the Easter Bunny and ask her for a special Easter Egg for Granny. We will board the train once again to travel back to Tunbridge Wells West, Little Red giving out eggs to everybody along the way. 

Tapnell Farm Park – Isle of Wight

Event – Easter Cuteness About – Come and meet the calves, kids, lambs, chicks, harvest mice and even stick insects! Not forgetting our new little Joey! Plus there’s plenty of crafty fun to be had in the craft cabin (on selected dates) including: Weave an Easter Basket. Make Easter Cards and Bunny Ears headband. Easter-themed colouring sheets, tissue paper flowers and origami egg cups.

Tower Of London – London

Event – Look out the Tudors are about About – This Easter, look out for Tudor visitors at the Tower of London, from traitors, escapers, to all sorts of mischief-makers. Find historical figures and listen to stories about their time at the fortress.

Waddesdon Manor – Buckinghamshire

Event – Easter Holidays About – See spring come to life at Waddesdon with our nature-inspired trail. Follow your map, make your own nature discoveries, have fun and collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg at the end. To guarantee a place, tickets must be pre-booked. £3 per trail (one egg per trail).

Walmer Castle – Kent

Event – Easter Adventure Quest About – Join us for a cracking adventure quest at Walmer Castle and Gardens this Easter holiday. Explore the site to hunt for clues and challenges, and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race. Track down the Easter eggs and you’ll be rewarded with a chocolate treat and an adventurer’s certificate. The quest costs just £1.50, which you can pay when you arrive at the site. This is in addition to the normal ticket price.

Weald and Downland Museum – Sussex

Event – Circus Wellington Easter Eggstravaganza About – Roll up, roll up the circus is back!! Come and see these wonderful family shows. Shows at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Plus 15th-17th The Mega Egg Hunt – This egg hunt has just got even bigger! Can you help us find the giant Easter eggs that have been hidden around the Park? Join us from 9:30am and collect your Mega Egg Hunt, hunt from the Main Reception. Solve the clues and find the missing eggs around the Park. 

Winkworth Arboretum – Surrey

Come along and explore the beautiful landscape of Winkworth Arboretum. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.

WWT Arundel – Sussex
