This post covers all the main Easter events across Yorkshire in 2023. We have included events in all four counties of Yorkshire – East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.

Many of the following attractions still require you to pre-book and many events sell out quickly so make sure you book as early as you can.

Burton Agnes Hall

Event – Easter at Burton Agnes A Bit About – Children are invited to take part in an Easter egg hunt with a difference. There are 25 huge, scaled-up, hand carved and painted wooden eggs hidden in the woodland and the task is to find them all.

An Easter trail of eight boards will take you around the magnificent grounds of the Hall, solving clues and learning about the history of this seasonal celebration while exploring the extensive gardens. Burton Constable Hall

Event – Easter Fun A Bit About – Our outdoor Easter Trail will take you on an adventure through our Grounds and Stables where you will have to follow the clues to find the Easter egg nests! Fill in the word from each nest you find and make a magical sentence. Sewerby Hall and Gardens

Event – Easter magic and face painting A Bit About – Join Mr Bubbles for a fun and exciting Easter-themed magic show for all the family. Magic shows at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm in the Orangery. Face painting by our professional face painter (£3 additional charge cash only) will be outside at the front of the Orangery from 11 am – 4 pm. Standard admission charges apply. Easter Events North Yorkshire 2023

Beningbrough Hall and Gardens, National Trust

Event – Easter Adventures – A Bit About – Visit Beningbrough to take part in the National Trust’s Easter adventures. Can you wander along the wiggly path? Are you brave enough to sniff the smell of wellies? Have a go at hopscotch and try skipping around the stakes to name just a few of the activities you’ll face on your way. Bolton Abbey

Event – Easter Trail – A Bit About – Wind your way through Strid Wood, an ancient woodland, whilst on the lookout for our eggs-traordinary bunnies amongst the trees. On arrival, you’ll receive a trail sheet and pencil to help you with your adventure. Find all of our decorated bunnies, each of which holds a clue to help you on your quest. Bolton Castle

Event – Easter Events – A Bit About – Easter, with all its traditions, is something children often know little about and our castle trail is a great way to give your little ones some fun facts by taking part in a find-and-seek trail, ending with a chocolate reward and some Maundy money as a token.

Our lovely friend the dragon Alfraeda has returned to her favourite castle. Having lost her egg, she needs help to find it. Can you help?  Our trail is free with entry, so pick up our sheet at the ticket desk and bring an adult with a mobile phone (as we’ll need a quick snap of you with the egg) FIND OUT MORE about Bolton Castle.

Fountains Abbey

Event – Easter Egg Hunts – A Bit About – Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Event – Dino-roar Adventures – A Bit About – Come along and meet the newest member of the Lightwater family, REX the Valleysaurus! REX. Event – Easter – A Bit About – Nestled within our enchanting Easter Village tons of CRACKING surprises are waiting to be found.
